A German Citizen Supports the Lawsuit Against Jiang

When my husband (who does not practice Falun Gong) accompanied me to attend the activities to expose the persecution in Berlin in November 2003, he experienced an event that he would never forget.

It was in the morning when Falun Gong practitioners assembled and lined up on the square located in front of the City Hall in Berlin. They were getting ready to participate in the large-scale parade organised to protest against the Chinese government’s illegal persecution of Falun Gong. My husband walked towards me. After a short chat with me, he decided to take a walk by himself. When he reached the other side of the square, he saw several Chinese men taking photographs sneakily in front of the statues of Marx and Engel’s. On the surface, it looked as though they were a group of Chinese tourists taking a group photo as a souvenir. In fact, they were taking photos of our preparation activities. When one of the men who was taking the pictures suddenly saw somebody from our group walking towards him he was at a loss and didn’t know what to do.He subconsciously aimed his camera at my husband. My husband is German, who was educated in a democratic system. He treats human rights and picture copyright as sacred and inviolable. He was very angry when he saw somebody aiming a camera at him without permission.

Therefore, he stared at this man as he continued to walk. This Chinese male was embarrassed and became a little unsure of himself, sometimes he raised the camera, sometimes he lowered it. In the end, he finally decided to put away the camera, but my husband’s staring posture showed no sign of yielding. My husband’s mood of taking a relaxed walk was completely ruined. He was overcome by an intolerable anger all day long.

It seems that this Chinese man still had some conscience. He knew what he was doing in this democratic country was disgraceful. Therefore, he pondered for a while, and eventually he put away the camera. Should he have taken photos of me, I would have hired a lawyer to sue him!”

Over here, I would like to advise those people who work as special agents for the Chinese government to stop persecuting Falun Gong. I hope you can cherish your own future!
