Among the Falun Gong practitioners, there were teachers, doctors, businessman, retired citizens and housewives--all of whom benefited both physically and mentally after practicing Falun Gong. Thus they gathered in a scenic site with many visitors and practiced the exercises to help more people learn about Falun Gong.

The slow, gentle, and peaceful Falun Gong exercises caught the attention of many visitors, who stopped and viewed the exercise demo. Some visitors watched from the bridge. Some took photos.

Some visitors could not understand why such a peaceful practice was banned in mainland China and so they asked many questions. Falun Gong practitioners explained the facts of Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Some people asked for literature and inquired about local practice sites.

Many practitioners said that after practicing Falun Gong, their health improved and they no longer needed their health insurance cards. As a result, the nation's medical cost were substantially reduced. Some had severe illnesses, yet recovered after a period of practicing Falun Gong. The benefits to health are remarkable. Many practitioners said that they changed a lot after following the principles Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. They have become tolerant, put others first, have better relations with others and have a happy life.

The practitioners called on the Chinese authorities to stop the persecution of Falun Gong, release all imprisoned practitioners and let Falun Gong practitioners have a safe, open practice environment.
