Ms. Xie Caile, in her 30s, was from Xindu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. She was unlawfully sentenced to five years in prison in June 2003. Ms. Xie held a hunger strike at Chengdu City Detention Centre and was force-fed. One month later, although she could no longer be force-fed, the guards refused to release her. She passed away in October 2003.

In 2000, she had validated Dafa and told people the facts about the persecution against Falun Gong. She was sent to the Nanmusi Female Labour Camp in Sichuan Province.

In August 2002, Xie Caile was arrested at a Dafa materials production site. She was savagely tortured by the authorities.

In June 2003, Xie Caile was sentenced to five years in prison. In August 2003, Xie Caile held her last hunger strike at the Chengdu Detention Centre. About one month later, Xie Caile was severely injured and could no longer to be force-fed, but the guards still refused to release her. In October 2003, Xie Caile passed away at the No. 3 Hospital in the Qingyang District, Chengdu City.

During her incarceration at the detention centre she actively clarified the truth to people she came in contact with, and often helped people who lacked food or care. She made many sacrifices to help others. Non-practitioners who were detained in the same cell experienced the compassion of a Dafa practitioner. Her death upset and infuriated people who knew her. We hope people can provide us with more information about her abuse and torment under the persecution.
