On the morning of March 1, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in Japan held a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate at Fukuoka. They displayed banners that read, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," "Falun Dafa is Great," "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice," "Demanding the Chinese government to bring the chief perpetrators of the persecution, Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang to justice."

Some Japanese workers at a nearby construction site saw practitioners sending forth righteous thoughts. They came over to ask what was happening. The practitioners explained to them the facts of the ongoing persecution against Falun Gong in China and introduced Falun Dafa to them. They expressed their indignation towards the brutal persecution and wished the Chinese government would soon put an end to the persecution. Because of the cold weather, these kind Japanese people brought us gloves, bread and beverages. In the afternoon, some Consulate staff went onto the building top to take photos of us. We held up high the banners that read, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and "Falun Dafa is Great." They quickly left.

The suppression cannot change people's heart. The appeal allowed more people to learn about the true facts of the persecution. At the same time, it also opposed and helped deter the unreasonable and inhuman persecution.
