Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Aiying was 48 years old. She worked at the Yidan Forest Farm in Yitong County, Jilin Province. The following are the details that are currently known about her situation:

Ms. Li Aiying had gone to Beijing to appeal in November 2000. She was seized by police in the Appeals Office as she was exercising her constitutional right, and was later detained for more than a month in the Yitong County Detention Centre. The police did not release her until her family paid them an enormous amount of extortion money to buy her release.

In the spring of 2001, Ms. Li Aiying was again picked up by authorities and taken to the Party School of the Yitong County Committee where they subjected her to intensive brainwashing.

Around 6:30 in the morning of December 4, 2003, as Ms. Li Aiying's daughter got ready for school and opened the door to leave the house. Five policemen who were laying in wait outside seized this opportunity to forcibly enter her home without any warrant or legal document. Ms. Li Aiying quickly hid in the bedroom and locked the door. While her family members were arguing with the police, two young policemen started to kick open the door and threatened that they would break down the door if she didn't open it. To avoid being subjected to their persecution again, Ms. Li tore a bed sheet, tied the pieces into a rope and attempted to lower herself to the ground. In the process she broke a fifth floor window and accidentally fell. Her ribs and internal organs were severely damaged as a result of the fall. Tragically she died. Her body was sent to the mortuary at 7:30 p.m. the same day, and she was cremated on December 6th, 2003.
