Recently, Swedish practitioners used their free time to peacefully appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate in Gothenburg for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Practitioners also expressed their support for the hundred Falun Gong practitioners who are on hunger strike in Jilin prison. Practitioners hope that their appeals will encourage more people to pay attention to these severe human rights violations. They also called for the community to give urgent assistance in appealing for the release of all Falun Gong practitioners who have been illegally detained in Chinese prisons.

On the 15th of November 2003, practitioners from Gedebao gathered in the city centre to expose the evil of this persecution against Falun Gong to the Swedish people by leeting them know more about it. Practitioners believe that the situation in China is a serious crime that has been committed by the Jiang regime. It is genocide. Practitioners also called on the local people to assist in obtaining a speedy end to this anti-humanitarian persecution of Falun Gong.

People were shocked when they learned of the brutal torture methods used by Jiang and Luo’s evil regime against Falun Gong practitioners. Many people stopped to sign their names on a petition form that practitioners had prepared. The form was entitled ‘Support the Lawsuit Against Jiang and Luo’s Regime’, ‘Rescue Charles Li’ and ‘Help to secure Refugee Status for Chinese Falun Gong practitioners in Sweden’. There was a continuous crowd of people gathering around practitioners to listen to what they had to say. Practitioners truth clarification helped people maintain their righteous thoughts.
