Falun Gong practitioners in Belgium are considering different ways to charge Jiang Zemin with the crime of Genocide. According to a news report from Reuters, Brussels on August 19th, a renowned lawyer will represent the plaintiffs in suing the former Chinese president, Jiang Zemin. It is said in the case that Jiang’s crack down on Falun Gong violates the law of human rights in Belgium.

According to the news report, one of the plaintiffs in the case, Matthias Slaats, told Reuters on Tuesday a number of Falun Gong members in countries including Belgium, the United States and Australia were filing similar lawsuits against Jiang Zemin for torture, crimes against humanity and genocide. It is said in the report that we think we have a very strong case otherwise we would not proceed.
As was said in the report, Georges-Henri Beauthier, who is representing the Falun Gong practitioners in this action, is also the lawyer representing the plaintiff in the Mark-Dartax case, in which Mark was brought to trial on a charge of kidnap, rape, and murder.

It was said in the report that Lawyer Georges-Henri Beauthier also successfully won the first case related to the law of human rights, in which two Sisters in Rwanda were sentenced for 12 and 20 years respectively in 1994 for their criminal behaviour during the period of genocide in Rwanda.
