On July 20th four years ago, the Chinese government launched the persecution of Falun Gong. July 20th 2003 happened to be a Sunday. Falun Gong practitioners around Europe held activities to commemorate the victims and to protest against the persecution. On July 19th and 20th, that is, Saturday and Sunday, Falun Gong practitioners assembled in Berlin to protest against the persecution. Miss Zheng Zhi Hong, from Chekiang University, was responsible for organising this mass assembly. On Sunday under the scorching sun, Miss Zheng introduced the activity to a Radio Free Asia reporter.
Then she continued to introduce the activities held by Falun Gong practitioners in Germany.
Miss Zheng Zhi Hong said that the President of the International Human Rights Association, made a speech at the assembly.
In his speech, the President once again strongly asked China to stop this barbarian and inhumane persecution and to release all the detained Falun Gong practitioners. Considering the situations in Germany and in Europe, he also asked Chinas overseas diplomatic organisations to stop persecuting Falun Gong practitioners outside China. As for the overseas persecution, the president said the International Human Rights Association will help the Falun Gong practitioners to take any effective legal action.
