This portrait shows a pivotal moment when the Chinese police illegally arrested Dr. Charles Li, an American Falun Gong practitioner of Menlo Park, California. Dr. Li represents only one target of over 100 million Falun Gong practitioners in Jiang Zemin’s attempted genocide of Falun Gong practitioners. The Jiang Zemin-led regime abuses its power to fanatically suppress Falun Gong, but history shall prove that those who persecute righteous faith and freedom may have a temporary victory but will be brought to justice. The courageous behaviour of the many who stand up to the brutal persecution has slowly been awakening people’s consciences. Dr. Charles Li has sacrificed his personal happiness and safety to call for an end to the persecution. When the whole world’s consciences have awakened, they will admire Dr. Li as a hero. With the portrait of Dr. Charles Li, I hope that all the kind people in the world will learn about and understand the nature of the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.
