The Chinese Ambassador of France has a Chance Encounter with Dafa Practitioners in the Caribbean

At 8pm on Thursday June 12, a Dafa practitioner went to work on a night shift. The car park where he usually puts his car was full and he had to drive a bit further down the road. He found a space in front of a Chinese restaurant, which is usually open every night but was closed on this occasion. There was a notice on the glass door, which said, “We are closed on Thursday night because the Chinese Ambassador is visiting the Island.”

What a great chance this was. The practitioners had never approached a Chinese Ambassador before and this one happened to be the Ambassador to France. (The Island was under the jurisdiction of France. There was no Ambassador on the island.) The practitioner called other practitioners on the island right away.

How could we know in which hotel the Ambassador was staying? When would he leave? Early the next morning, a female practitioner searched every hotel and finally found the one where the Ambassador was in residence. However, the Ambassador left the hotel at 9:00 in the morning. The practitioners got his departure date, time and destination after making a few calls. It was around 10am on June13th. The Ambassador would leave the Island at 5pm. The practitioners tried to find as many others as possible who could go to the airport to tell him the truth.

A female practitioner who went to the airport early called us and told us that the Ambassador had arrived at the airport. We rushed to the reception in the airport and asked one of the staff from the Embassy group if we could say hello to the Ambassador. After getting permission, the female practitioner walked towards the Ambassador and shook his hand, although he hesitated to do so for a short while. The face of the Ambassador turned pale after the practitioner tried to give him some information about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and the Genocide lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. He waved his hands and walked backwards. The practitioner thought he did not get her point and handed him the materials again, telling him that this was just the latest information and he could read it on the plane. The Ambassador was startled and said, “Who are you? Are you from Paris?” He did not expect to meet any Dafa practitioners on an island in the Caribbean Sea.

The practitioner replied, “No. We are practitioners living on this Island.” A Chinese bodyguard ran from the crowd and pushed us away. He said, “Do you know that these people are against the Chinese government?” The practitioners replied, “We do not get involved in politics. We know everything that has happened in China.”

Other practitioners wearing yellow T-shirts with “Stop the Persecution” on the front arrived one after another. The Embassy group then finished getting ready for the flight and hurried into the Customs area. On the next day it rained heavily all day, which is very rarely seen on the island.
