On 14th June 2003, the band “Yellow Express”, formed by Swedish Falun Gong practitioners, was invited to participate in the Hamnfestival art performance in Arvika. The band played several of their own songs and used the time in-between the songs to inform the audience about the persecution of Falun Dafa. They also told the audience about Charles Li, who is now illegally detained in a Chinese prison; a petition was passed around calling for his release.

Radio Värmland interviewed members of the band and broadcast their song “Walk On”. This song exposes the crimes that have been committed by the Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin during his persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The song also praised Falun Gong practitioners’ great kindness, tolerance, harmony and peace; after four years of brutality with over 700 recorded deaths, there is still not a single case of a Falun Gong practitioner retaliating to persecution. One of the practitioners told the radio host that he had been to China several times before the persecution began in July 1999 and his friend Mr. Lin Chengtao, an appraised scientist, has been tortured to mental collapse and can no longer take care of himself.

After Yellow Express finished their performance, they held an activity to promote Falun Gong together with the local practitioners.
