Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhang Jun, 42, died on September 18th, 2014, after 10 years of suffering from mental and physical disabilities. Family and friends suspected that she was fed or injected with drugs while being held at the Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labour Camp. Her lips, ears, and fingers turned black upon her death.

Ms. Zhang was arrested on December 25th, 2000, for sending appeal letters to the local government calling for justice for Falun Gong. She was taken to the Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labour Camp to serve a three-year term.

She felt weak all over when she was released from the labour camp in 2004. She fell into a coma two months later and was mentally and physically disabled from then on. Her mind was not clear, her eyes turned dull, and she no longer could speak or hear. She had difficulty walking.

She kept moaning, humming, even screaming and roaring. She was constantly in motion, moving from one place to another.

During times of calm and quiet, she used all of her energy to describe her suffering in the labour camp through hand signs. She was beaten and kicked by several people.

There are several known cases of practitioners being force-fed drugs in the Guizhou Province Women's Forced Labour Camp. The family believes this is what caused Ms. Zhang's illnesses and death.
