My Understanding of Conforming to Ordinary Human Society

I began my Falun Dafa cultivation with family members twenty years ago at the age of four. Under Master's compassionate protection, I was able to go through one tribulation after another. I would like to share my understanding on the issue of how to conform to ordinary human society as a cultivator.

As practitioners, Master has asked us to cultivate among ordinary people and save sentient beings. We need to fit into ordinary society and our environment. For a period of time, I thought conforming to normal society was to do things like ordinary people, so that they would not see us as being abnormal.

I did not realize at the time that I had already been taken advantage of by the old forces because of my attachments to fame, personal gain, and reputation. If we do everything like ordinary people, what is the difference between them and us? If we do everything according to the standard of the Fa, ordinary people won't feel we are abnormal, but will believe we are superb, which will make it easy for us to help people understand the facts of Falun Dafa and save sentient beings!

Looking back, it was obvious that I had a limited understanding of the Fa, still carried human notions, and did not do well in speaking to people about the wonder of Dafa.

As practitioners, we came here to help Master rectify the Fa, and we chose ordinary society as our cultivation environment. However, that does not mean we have to conform to the notions and habits of society. When one's attachments have not been eliminated, we often do not understand the Fa correctly.

Through studying the Fa, I understand now that lives from various levels have different states of existence, and ordinary society is just like that. Conforming to our present society means that we should conform to the formality of it. We should go to school, have a job and have a family if we wish, but our xinxing has to be higher than that of ordinary people. Otherwise, how could we call ourselves cultivators?

This is my understanding from Fa study, please point out any shortcomings.
