A Solemn Moment

On the 17th March, I took part in the parade in Geneva. I was taking photographs of the parade, so I had the good fortune of being able to look at the whole spectacle of the parade from the outside. As the parade started to move through the streets of Geneva I was at the back. Wanting to take pictures of the front of the parade, I made my way alongside the parade walking up towards the front. I passed the colourful banners of the rear section of the parade until I came to the front section of the parade, which was composed of female practitioners dressed in white, carrying wreaths with photographs of those practitioners whose lives have senselessly been taken in the evil persecution. As I came alongside this part of the parade, I suddenly felt a unique, solemn atmosphere; full of compassion and dignity but mixed with a kind of holy, divine sadness. This powerful energy field took me a little by surprise and left a deep impression on me. Looking at the female practitioners carrying the wreaths, I could see that they were not simply carrying these wreaths, they were bearing them with the deepest of respect for the tragic waste of these lives. I was deeply touched by the heart-felt reverence that showed in their solemn faces and in their slow and dignified footsteps. As I came to the very front, the parade briefly halted. I took the opportunity to take some photographs. As I went down on one knee to take a photograph, I suddenly felt that to be kneeling down in front of the parade felt so appropriate – to humbly kneel out of respect for the sacrifice of these precious lives. I felt deeply honoured to be able to witness this sacred scene, and only felt I could rise to my feet again after I had inwardly expressed my deepest respect.

There was another quality to the atmosphere. It felt like a kind of anger bubbling away under the surface. But it didn’t feel like human anger, and it wasn’t some emotion from the practitioners. It was the anger of the gods, waiting to explode. I understood more deeply than ever before the significance of the persecution death of a Dafa disciple. To persecute to death a cultivator of the most righteous Fa shocks and angers all the gods and offends all of heaven and earth. To persecute to death a disciple of the Dafa of the cosmos, for the twisted purpose of “testing”, is truly the most sacrilegious, wicked, twisted and shameful violation of all righteous principles at every level of the cosmos.

I felt more deeply than ever before that I cannot ever take the news of the persecution death of a Dafa disciple lightly; I should not view it as news. No matter how many reports of deaths I hear, I should seriously understand the significance of each disgraceful act, and have the most humble and solemn respect for this sacrifice of a future enlightened being.
