Ms. Li Qunying was arrested while speaking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution in Daxing County in April 2011. She was taken to the Daxing County Detention Centre and then transferred to Division No. 4 of the Beijing Women's Forced Labour Camp.

Ms. Li was tortured to the point of being in critical condition. The labour camp transported her in a minibus to an unknown location in June 2011. Her whereabouts are still unknown.

Tortured to Critical Condition

In order to receive a bonus, captain Du Jingbin and team leader Liu in Division No.4 of the labour camp cruelly tortured practitioners, physically and mentally, in order to force them to give up their belief in Falun Gong and sign the three statements to renounce practising Falun Gong. After Ms. Li refused to give up her faith in April 2011, Liu savagely beat her.

Ms. Li told captain Du that the treatment she had received at the hands of Liu was in violation of the law. However, Du covered up for Liu and gave him permission to further persecute Ms. Li and other practitioners.

Without any other alternatives, Ms. Li went on a hunger strike to protest the abuse. Du and Liu then savagely force-fed her. This form of torture lasted over two months.

Sun Mingyue and Peng, team leaders in Division No. 4, closely followed the policies of persecution established by Du. Sun gave orders to criminal inmates to beat Ms. Li, who was already in a very weak condition.

By June 2011, Ms. Li had been persecuted so severely that she was spitting up blood and was in critical condition.

Not long afterward, officials of the Beijing Women's Forced Labour Camp transported her in a minibus to an unknown location. The guards gave orders to block all news regarding her. To this day, no one knows anything about her status or whereabouts.
