Every day Falun Gong practitioners can be seen talking to people about the persecution at tourist destinations and Chinatowns throughout the world. They are beacons of light and truth for millions of people who don't know about Falun Gong or how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting this peaceful practice for 14 years.
When they learn the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution, many in London's Chinatown quit the Party and its affiliated organizations.
“I Came to Chinatown to Find You Falun Gong People”
On October 19, 2013, a man in his 40s started taking pictures of the practitioners doing the Dafa exercises.
Xiaoyun, a female Falun Gong practitioner, went up to him and said, “Please take as many photos as you want. We hope that you will share them with all your relatives and good friends.”
As he was sheepishly putting away his camera, the man said, “I am here on business. I came to Chinatown to find you Falun Gong people.”
“Since it is not that easy go abroad," said Xiaoyun, "I hope you spend your time looking at things that you cannot see in China. You have already seen that Falun Gong has spread all over the world. Only in China is it banned. What you've heard about Falun Gong in China is only the Party's vicious slander. Do you know that Falun Gong is being persecuted?”
The man said he knew because he was able to break through the Party's Internet blockade, so Xiaoyun then asked if he knew that the Communist Party had been harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
“Yes," the man said, "I heard about that.”
Xiaoyun continued, “The Communist Party has committed countless unpardonable crimes and will be destroyed, along with all of its members. That’s why practitioners are trying to persuade people to withdraw from it, so that they won't go down with it. Are you a Party member?”
When the man admitted that he was a member of one of the Party’s affiliated organizations, Xiaoyun helped him to quit the organization to separate himself from the CCP. The man offered his thanks repeatedly.
“I've Heard That the Tiananmen Self-immolation Was Staged”
A young woman pushing a baby carriage stopped to watch practitioners doing the exercises in London's Chinatown.
When Xiaoyun walked over and handed her a flier, the Chinese woman said, “No thanks, I already got one yesterday. I am from Fujian Province, China, but I've been living in the United Kingdom for several years. I first heard about Falun Gong in China.
“I read on the Internet that that Tiananmen Square self-immolation was a staged event. Would it be possible for me to take a few photos of you?”
Xiaoyun replied, “Of course, you can. Please take as many photos as you would like, so you can send them to your family and friends in China.”
“How long have you been practising Falun Gong?” the woman asked.
When Xiaoyun replied, "15 years,” the woman was a little surprised. Xiaoyun gave her a brief overview of her experience with Falun Gong. When the woman heard that Falun Gong practitioners conduct themselves according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and do five exercises to improve their health, she said, “I am going to learn Falun Gong from the Internet!”
Xiaoyun asked her if she believed in the principle "Good is rewarded with good and evil with evil," and the woman nodded.
Xiaoyun went on to explain, “The CCP is persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and removing their organs while they are still alive. The Party has launched numerous political campaigns that have caused the deaths of some 80 million Chinese. It has been actively promoting atheism and does not allow people believe in deities. Now, the gods are punishing it, which means that anyone who belongs to it or its affiliated organizations will be implicated. Only by withdrawing from these organizations can one be safe."
The Chinese woman said, “I only joined one of its youth organizations.”
Xiaoyun helped her quit the organization by assigning her an alias.
“You Have a Right to Promote Falun Gong in Chinatown”
Xiaoyun handed a flier to a Chinese man in his 60s. “I am sorry, but I do not read Chinese.”
It turned out that he was born in England and only speaks English. As soon as Xiaoyun mentioned the Communist Party, the old man shook his head and had a lot to say: “The Party is bad, I know. A lot of foreigners are confused by the false image of China’s prosperity. In fact, it is false. Just like an onion, only by peeling it layer by layer can you see through to its essence.
“A few years ago, I visited my daughter who works in Beijing,” the man said. “'Never make any negative comments about the Communist Party while you are here, Dad; it's too dangerous'” she warned. 'They monitor the public day and night.'
"Chinese people live in constant fear of the regime, but I'm not afraid of it. When I went to Tiananmen Square, I cursed the Party out loud. All that happened to me is that someone followed me for a little while.”
Xiaoyun then informed him, “The regime is not only cruelly persecuting Falun Gong in China, but it also removes organs from Falun Gong practitioners' bodies while they are alive. That’s why we are standing here today and drawing attention to what the Chinese regime is doing; we hope that people from around the world will work with us to help stop the persecution.”
As the old man signed the petition, he said, “Well done! I support your efforts. You have a right to promote Falun Gong in Chinatown!”
