Latvia: Falun Gong Practitioner’s Art Exhibition Opens in Riga

On March 5, Zhang Cui Ying, an Australian Falun Gong practitioner and a painter, was officially invited to hold a three-day Art exhibition in Riga, Latvia.

On the afternoon of March 5, the chairperson of the Art Association delivered a speech at the opening of the art exhibition. Government officials, local media, artists and art lovers in their hundreds attended the opening. Zhang Cui Ying described her painting career as well as her personal experience of being imprisoned in China because of her belief in “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

Zhang Cui Ying is a Falun Gong practitioner. She said that the crackdown on Falun Gong and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” by the Jiang regime is doomed to fail. Now the victims and their relatives around the world are filing a lawsuit against Jiang and his political gang. According to Ms. Zhang, the purpose of her art exhibition is not only to display the beauty of traditional Chinese art but also to call on all governments to stop the current persecution in China. Several newspapers, a magazine for women as well as the local radio station interviewed Ms. Zhang.

The governor of the police headquarters also made a special visit.
