In order to force more people to give up Falun Dafa cultivation practice, the wicked policemen at Wanjia Forced Labour Camp, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, use all kinds of means to persecute Dafa practitioners. Various cruel punishments used by the police include kicking, beating, prolonged periods of standing, squatting, beating with electric batons, and prolonged shocking with electric batons.

Some practitioners were even shocked horrendously with ten electric batons at the same time! The police also used criminal inmates to beat practitioners. Senior practitioners more than sixty-five years old were not even spared. The inhuman policemen forced them to sit on iron chairs, dumped cold water on them, ripped off their shirts, opened windows to freeze them, and then shocked them with electric batons. With the electric baton in one hand and paper in the other, the police forced practitioners to sign the so-called "three statements" [the guarantee statement, the repentance statement, and the denouncement statement used to renounce Dafa.] Practitioners refusing to sign the statements would be bound up and shocked for a long period of time. Some practitioners became very weak after being tortured for a long time. Some male police hung up female practitioners and indecently fondled their breasts.

Policemen in the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp also forced practitioners to take an examination with questions slanderous to Dafa on it. The police would extend the term of practitioners who were about to be released if their answers did not fit what the police required. Some practitioners have been kept in the labour camp more than three months over their terms.

The police also held a so-called "prior-to-release educational class" for practitioners whose terms were about to expire. Except for a brief time for brushing their teeth and having meals, these practitioners were forced to sit on tiny benches from 5:00 am until midnight. Anyone who disobeyed the police would be hung up and shocked with electric batons. The police also told practitioners scheduled for release that once they were released, they should tell others that they were truly reformed [meaning "giving up their practice of Dafa"] and not forced to do so.
