Solemn Declarations from Non-Practitioners

A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. As more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many people who don't practise Falun Gong are submitting "solemn declarations."

My wife is a Falun Dafa practitioner. At about 10 p.m. on September 10, 2002, a few police officers barged into our home, ransacked the house and then apprehended her. Before leaving, they forced my wife to sign a statement renouncing the practise of Falun Dafa, which she refused to do. Seeing that she would not submit, they instead forced me to sign it for her. In order to save her from suffering in prison, I signed the "guarantee statement" against her will. I know Falun Dafa is good, and all practitioners are good people. I hereby solemnly declare that the slanderous statement against Dafa I had signed is null and void.

Because my sister Chen Fengzhen has been practising Falun Dafa, on April 23, 2002, she was arrested and put in a detention centre for forty days. She protested her illegal arrest by going on a hunger strike; hence her body became very weak. However, they refused to release her unless she signed a statement renouncing her faith. For fear for her safety, I signed it on her behalf. I know Falun Dafa is good, and Dafa teaches people to be good people. I hereby declare that everything I have signed is null and void.

A fellow veteran colleague in our work unit is a Falun Gong practitioner. The head of the work unit forced him to sign a statement renouncing the practise of Falun Dafa, which he refused to do. Out of compassion, I signed it for him. I understand that people who practise Dafa are good people and always help others. I hereby declare that all my previous signed statements related to this issue are null and void.

I went home to see my mother just before the New Year. When I left, mother gave me a few copies of Falun Dafa truth clarifying materials to pass on to my colleagues. While I was travelling on the train, an officer searched and found the materials in my possession. Upon arriving at our destination, I was taken to the local police station for questioning. The officer asked the local policeman to look in their records to see if I practise Falun Gong. They told him that my mother did, and that she was still on the run. They said they had caught her and had given her a good beating. After a short while, another officer came in the room with a prepared statement for me to sign, and said that unless I insulted Teacher Li, they would detain me for fifteen days. I refused his request, as I was once a person who benefited from practising Falun Dafa too. On the other hand, I was afraid to get mother into trouble again and therefore came up with an idea - I would use someone who had the same name as Teacher and insult him instead. However, after doing so, I burst into tears. I did not know why, but I felt extremely disturbed, and could not settle down for a long time. I know Falun Dafa is good. I will never allow such things to happen again. I hereby declare that all the bad things I said about Teacher are null and void.

I once helped mother hand copy a "guarantee statement" denouncing the practise of Falun Dafa, after which I had regrets. I hereby declare that the statement is null and void.

I do not practise Falun Dafa but my husband does. Consequently he was persecuted and sentenced to forced labour "education." In order to visit my husband, I was forced to say slanderous words against Dafa. I now hereby declare that all the bad things I said against Dafa are null and void. Falun Gong practitioners are all good people.

I am not a practitioner. I did not know Falun Dafa was good, therefore I had written a lot of bad things about Falun Dafa. Now I realise Falun Dafa is good. I hereby declare that my previous writing is null and void.

I am a family member of a Falun Dafa practitioner. Under the pressure and intimidation of police, I signed on my wife's behalf a "guarantee statement" against the practise of Dafa. I wish to declare that statement I signed to be null and void.

When my wife Chen Ling went to Beijing to appeal against the injustice done to Falun Dafa, she was arrested and put in jail. To save her from imprisonment, I submitted to the evildoers’ demand and signed a "guarantee statement," stating that she would not again appeal in Beijing about Falun Gong issues. I also said a lot of slanderous things about Falun Dafa, which I now regret. I wish to declare that everything I have said and done not in accordance with Dafa are null and void. I would like to live a new life again.
