Ms. Huang Qian Arrested and Facing Trial for Allegedly Rescuing Her Brother in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province
On September 23rd, 2007, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Huang Qian was taken into custody by agents of the brainwashing centre and the Yuexiu District 610 Office1. The agents suspected that Ms. Huang was involved in rescuing her younger brother, Mr. Huang Jiang, who had been arrested and detained at the brainwashing centre. She was arrested by police officers from the Tianhe District Station and had been previously detained at the Tianhe District Detention Centre for over six months. An officer of the Tianhe District Court planned to try Ms. Huang Qian on the afternoon of February 27th, 2008. Mr. Huang refused to be present at the court. The trial went ahead and Ms. Huang's personal property was confiscated. Agents of the brainwashing centre, headed by Hua Shaoxia (female), and the 610 Office of Yuexiu District, headed by Li Fen (female), assumed that the rescue efforts by Mr. Huang Jiang's family were organized by Mr. Huang's sister, Ms. Huang Qian. They claimed that they would arrest Ms. Huang Qian instead of Mr. Huang Jiang. Under these circumstances, Ms. Huang Qian was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested. On September 23rd, 2007, Chen Shaoji (male), a director of the Guangdong Province Police Department, assigned Wu Li'na (female) of the National Security Section in Tianhe District to arrest seven practitioners. They were detained at the Tianhe District Detention Centre in Guangzhou City. Mr. Tan Weichang was held at the Second Detention Centre in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City. Ms. Huang Haixia was sentenced to one year of forced labour and was taken to the Chuotou Forced Labour Camp. Officers of the Tianhe District Court planned to try Ms. Huang Qian on February 27th, 2008 because Mr. Huang refused to be present. The CCP officers declared that they would try Ms. Huang and confiscate her personal property in Mr. Huang Ian’s absence. Guo Xiupeng (male), who acted as prosecutor in Tianhe District, is involved in persecuting many Falun Dafa practitioners. Cai, the director of the Tianhe District Detention Centre (ID number 028394), Li (ID number 028129), and Zhan (ID number 029332) have also been directly involved in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. At present, there are over 10 practitioners being detained at the Tianhe District Detention Centre. Note Chinese version available at http://minghui.ca/mh/articles/2008/4/4/175785.html
