On June 9th, 2007, the head of the CCP visited Sweden, and came to Gothenburg to take part in the ceremony to welcome the Gothenburg, an ancient sailing boat, to harbour. In order to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong and remind the public to pay attention to this persecution, Falun Gong practitioners from Denmark and Sweden demonstrated Falun Gong exercises in Gustav Adolfs Torg Square and talked about Falun Gong with members of the public.

The peaceful exercise field attracted people’s attention. Many people who had understood the truth especially came to express their support for Falun Gong.
