United States: Mayor Len Pagano of St. Peters, Missouri Proclaims May 13th-19th, 2007 as Falun Dafa Week City of St. Peters, Missouri Proclamation Whereas, Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) is a self-improvement practice rooted in ancient Chinese culture; and Whereas, the foundational principles of Falun Gong are Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance; and Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners strive to become good people in their daily lives; and Whereas, Falun Dafa's effectiveness in improving health and its profound principles have quickly made the practice immensely popular with millions of practitioners in over 80 countries worldwide. Whereas, Falun Dafa is non-political and has no binding membership; and Whereas, Falun Dafa activities are free and open to the public; and Whereas, The City of St. Peters recognizes the practice of Falun Dafa and those who promote improving the quality of life in positive ways for all. NOW, THEREFORE, I, LEN PAGANO, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF ST. PETERS, MISSOURI, do hereby proclaim May 13-19, 2007, as FALUN DAFA WEEK In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of St. Peters, Missouri, to be affixed this 11th day of May, 2007.
