Falun Dafa Turned My Life Around By a Falun Gong practitioner from Liaoning Province, China Time flies, and it has been two years. Whenever I stand in front of the mirror, I see a very different man. It is someone who stands upright with spirited, bright eyes, compared with my old self. It is Falun Dafa that saved me and gave me a second life. When I look back, my mind remains stirred for some time. I am 51 years old and I suffered from epilepsy for over twenty years. When a seizure occurred, I would lose consciousness and my body would convulse. White foam spit from my mouth, and my lips turned purple. Sometimes I bit my tongue so badly that my mouth filled with blood. At times the seizures would occur twice per day. After each occurrence, my head became very heavy and dizzy. I would have to stay in bed for over ten days at a time. I was practically an invalid. I was hospitalized many times and treated with shots and medication, but to no avail. I even spent 40,000 yuan for surgery that lasted over six hours. My illness did not improve a bit with all the treatment and hospital care. I was very frustrated and troubled, and it pained my heart. Due to the long-term drug effects, I suffered from insomnia, had early hair loss, and felt pain in my extremities. I spent most days lying in bed. I was in despair and completely lost confidence in life. During this time, my wife (a practitioner) told me to silently recite "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" I recited it continuously while lying in bed. To my surprise, an amazing thing happened. My mind became clearer and I was able to eat and sleep. Later, I could sit up to read the book Zhuan Falun. My wife and daughter both helped me a lot, and the three of us studied the Falun Gong teachings together daily. I also denounced my association from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Nowadays, my heart is full of joy. My health is improving and I can even help with the housework. Everyone says that I am becoming a different person. In my heart, I know it is Falun Dafa that gave me a new life. Falun Dafa is full of grace and wonder! Words cannot describe my appreciation and gratitude for what Teacher has done for me.
