There are a number of small Falun Gong exercise groups in some of Nordhrhein Westfalen’s cities. We all met on German Unification Day 2006 to practice the exercises together as one large group. We chose a central location in the state capital Düsseldorf. Cornelius Square and the Königsallee Kings Avenue presented a beautiful green space. We also erected a small booth and although the stores were closed on this German holiday, many people walked past. Many were also very interested in learning the exercises.

Some people even crossed from the other side of the road to watch us. As this was a holiday and the onlookers were not focussed on shopping, one could clearly see that they enjoyed deeply the peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.
A Russian lady and her daughter, both living in Germany, came to talk to me. Although I don’t speak Russian, I have learned the words Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance in Russian. After I spoke these three words to her, she said that these were the most beautiful Russian words.
