In order to help more Indonesian people to learn the facts behind the persecution of Falun Gong and help stop the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, practitioners from Batam and Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore conducted a truth-clarification activity at a large shopping centre on Batam Island at 2 p.m. on October 1st, 2006. They held banners calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong and protesting the CCP's crimes, set up posters introducing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and exposing the CCP's atrocities of live organ removal, demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and collected signatures calling for an end to the persecution. Several local newspapers covered the event.
