China’s President Wen Jiabao and a delegation of four hundred will attend Hamburg’s “CHINATIME” this September. The intent of this visit is to improve and develop economic ties between China and Hamburg.

On August 19th, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners from Hamburg and the entire North German area organised an information day in downtown Hamburg, close to the central train station. The intent was to inform the citizens of Hansestadt about organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners and the continued persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Large banners exposing the organ harvesting, attracted the attention of passersby. They stopped and could hardly believe what they saw in front of their eyes. A bloody show was right in front of them, a Falun Gong practitioner dressed as a doctor re-enacted organ harvesting from a living victim.

A small cage was displayed, surrounded by paintings that were painted by Falun Gong practitioners, symbolising only a few of the hundreds of torture methods, which have been perpetrated by the Communist Party during the past seven years.

One lady who stopped by at our table is familiar with the newspaper “The Epoch Times” and had also read “The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" (an editorial published by the paper). She stopped by to hear more about Falun Gong and was happy to receive a leaflet. Another lady also stopped by and was grateful to receive “The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party”. She already had read them in “The Epoch Times,” but had missed two of the sections. She also signed the petition on our table, took a few flyers and an extra petition for her students.

A Spanish lady who is an adult education teacher also took one of the petitions. She wanted to tell her students about the inhumanity of the Chinese Communist Party and ask them to sign the petition.
A man approached me and asked if what he is seeing and hearing is really true. A man who was in the process of signing the petition said, “I can assure you of the truth of this. I have followed the Communist Parties activities for quite some time. All you have to do is to read “The Epoch Times,” which you can receive free of charge in Hamburg. This paper reports in detail about what is going on in China today.” Therefore, there was no need for me to say anything more. This man also signed the petition and took a copy of “The Epoch Times” and a pamphlet that contained “The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” in China.

Another main attraction were the demonstrations of the five Falun Gong exercises. People were quite amazed watching the exercises. The called to us, “Oh, how beautiful, how harmonious, can I also learn them?” A little girl asked if she could also be part of if and then joined in. It appeared that the dark cloud of an imminent storm was approaching. Yet, we were fortunate. The clouds moved on and the sun appeared again.
