Finland: Exposing the CCP's Persecution of Falun Gong

On July 22nd, 2006, Falun Gong practitioners at the Helsinki central train station exposed the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the CCP, which began in July 1999. They set up an anti-torture exhibition with actors demonstrating the organ harvesting, and also displayed picture boards, etc.

It kept raining on the day. The practitioners doing the show were soaked, but they didn’t stop. A lot of passersby had no rain gear, but they stood in the rain and watched carefully to know about the truth.

Dr Li, who was in charge of the events, said that the practitioners were coordinating very well. I" was astonished by the strong reaction from the people. Within six hours, we gave out 3000 leaflets in total and there were always a long queue of people waiting to sign the petition".

A practitioner from Sweden said that the people gradually came to know Falun Gong over time. I was iextremely moved when I saw the organ harvesting demonstration. It strengthened my resolve to try my best to let everyone know about the persecution and appeal to stop the barbarity.

Samuli, a young practitioner, said, "I was scared when I watched the 'organ harvesting' and I felt sad. When I realised that the practitioners were suffering in China, I dedicated myself to telling people the truth".

‘Is it happening now?’ a man was asking a practitioner’s daughter, who was helping to give out leaflets. She said, ‘Yes, it is happening in China. The report “The CCP is harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners” was published by a senior Canadian parliament member and a famous human rights lawyer, who have proved this.’ The man said he was from Cuba and he did believe it that this was happening today.

Hufvudstadsbladet, the Finnish national newspaper, did a full interview on the spot and published a special report ‘Falun Gong Practitioners’ Protest’.
