Belgium: Falun Gong Practitioners Celebrate World Dafa Day in Ghent

On May 13th, the weather in Ghent was fine and sunny and the city was crowded with people. Falun Dafa practitioners held activities to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.

World Falun Dafa Day activities were warm and cheerful. A golden banner with red words was hung at the centre of the venue, inscribed with the words, "Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day" in Flemish and Chinese. Two meters from its right-hand side was a long table on which was placed leaflets and information in different languages for people to take and read. To the right was a photo exhibition designed by practitioners. On one side was details of the wide spread of Falun Dafa in the world and on the other side was the persecution of Dafa practitioners for refusing to give up their faith.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises while others reenacted torture methods used on practitioners in labour camps. Children and parents queued for balloons with a message reading "Falun Dafa is good". Yellow balloons with "Falun Dafa is good" filled the whole square. The happy and auspicious atmosphere shrouded the whole space of Falun Dafa Day.

A lot of people showed great interest in Falun Dafa. They asked practitioners about the exercise sites. Some people purchased the introductory book "China Falun Gong".

Many people couldn't help asking why such a good practice is persecuted. Around the exercise demonstration, the crowd watched full of interest, imitated, and enquired. People came and went in groups. A lot of people said that they will go to the exercise site to learn to practise Falun Gong.

More persons understood the beauty of Falun Dafa and the truth of the Chinese Communist Party's persecution. Those who persecute Dafa will be punished with evil consequences; Falun Dafa will be spread more extensively.
