Candlelight Vigil in Geneva Calls for an End to the Persecution By a European practitioner
After a parade during the day, several hundred Falun Gong practitioners held a candle light vigil in the evening of the 3rd of April in front of the building where the UN Human Rights Commission was held to urge the international community to pay close attention to the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and help bring an end to it. Since the CCP began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, the persecution taking place in China has got worse every year. Illegal detention, beatings and forced feeding have been accompanied by draconian tortures such as water dungeons, the tiger bench, bamboo sticks under the finger nails, strait-jackets and death beds. Many practitioners have been sexually abused at the hands of the Communist authorities, particularly female practitioners. Recently several witnesses revealed that the CCP removed organs from live Falun Gong practitioners in order to make huge profits, and then burned the corpses to destroy any evidence. This made people realise the brutality of the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP which has gone beyond one's imagination. In the view of Mr. Zhu from the Netherlands, the CCP acted against nature by removing organs from live Falun Gong practitioners. He believed there are still a lot of things, probably more brutal, that remain concealed at the moment. However, all of the CCP's vicious act will be known to the world some day. Mr. Zhu hoped that through the diligent appeal by Falun Gong practitioners, more people will wake up from the deception of the CCP, see clearly the truth of the persecution of innocent Falun Gong and join the international call to stop these human rights atrocities.
