Slovak Republic: Introducing Falun Gong to the People of Sturovo
Many people stopped and one elderly man remembered: "Yes, horrible. I was also persecuted before by our communist regime." The reporter from the local newspaper also added her signature to the petition and conducted an interview with on of our practitioners. She was interested in the history of Falun Gong, the reason for the persecution and the results of our efforts to let people know what is happeneing in China. She showed interest in the exercises of Falun Gong and took with her lots of material at the end.
On Saturday, March 18th, practitioners of Falun Gong visited Sturovo, a small town in southern Slovakia, in order to raise public awareness about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong taking place in China. In Sturovo there was a newly paved square (the Square of Freedom) waiting for practitioners. They set up their banners so the text could be read from passing cars.

Through the square passed crowds of people from neighbouring Hungary, who ad come to visit the local thermal spa. They were very happy that they were able to get information about Falun Gong in their own language.
