Slovak Republic: Falun Gong Warmly Welcomed by People of Rimavska Sobota
The activity received attention from the media. A cameraman from the local TV station filmed practitioners in front of banners, showing scenes of the persecution, which highly contrasted with peaceful exercises performed by Falun Gong practitioners nearby. The reporter from a local newspaper also stopped by and took material so that he could write an article about the event.
On Saturday December 17th, practitioners held an activity in the main square of Rimavska Sobota (a small town in south-mid Slovakia) to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, as well as the violations of basic human rights and freedom, which the Chinese communist government inflicts upon its own people.

For many people it was incomprehensible, even unbelievable, that a regime can persecute innocent people like this and they expressed their sympathy by signing a petition against the persecution.
