Two elderly Dafa practitioners, Ms. Guan Shuying and Li Jinrong died recently due to enormous mental and physical pains inflicted by tortures that they suffered at the Heizuizi Women's Labour Camp in Changchun City, Jilin Province.
Ms. Guan Shuying, 63, lived in Linjiang City, Jilin Province. She was a retired worker from the Linjiang Pharmaceutical Company. Since she started practising Falun Dafa in 1993, she actively participated in promoting Dafa and was very determined about practising Dafa, and had never yielded to the persecution in any form, such as writing a Repentance Statement (1). She walked out of the labour camp twice with dignity. On December 3, 2000, she was abducted at the local train station and was sentenced to one year labour re-education. The Jiutai Forced Labour Camp tortured her by forcing her to stand for 24 days until her feet, legs were swollen, and she felt so dizzy that she could no longer stand up. Her blood pressure went up and was forced to take drugs and receive injections.
In September 2001, Guan Shuying was transferred to the infamous Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp. They tortured her by forcing her to stand for long duration without sleep. They inject drugs into her body. In March 2002, she was again abducted in a local massive raid and was sentenced to one year of forced labour. Again, the Heizuizi Labour Camp tortured her both mentally and physically by forcing her to stand for long time without sleeping, beating, electric shock, etc. Because she was so determined, the guard beat and shocked her repeatedly. She lost consciousness several times during the tortures, vomited and showed sign of life threatening danger. Even though she was released later, the great mental and physical anguish suffered at the labour camp seriously damaged her health, and she passed away on May 15, 2005.

Ms. Li Jinrong, 59, was a Dafa practitioner in Changchun City, Jilin Province. She had serious ailments in the heart and brain areas resulting in hospitalisation. Her health and virtue improved tremendously after starting to practise Falun Gong. She was persecuted because she testified for Dafa using her own personal cultivation experience after the Chinese Communist Party started persecuting Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999. She was abducted and detained twice for 30 days by the Xisantiao Police Station at the Kuancheng District in Changchun City, as well as a one year labour re-education at the Heizuizi Women's Labour Camp.
At the labour camp, a guard slapped and electric shocked Li Jinrong around her head, heart and neck area simply because she shouted "Falun Gong is good." The torture caused serious heart and brain damage to Li Jinrong, requiring her hospitalisation. She suffered partial paralysis of her body and bleeding around her gums. Due to constant propaganda by the CCP government officials to her family and the coercion by the Xisantiao police, her family was very hard and unforgiving on her, further making her life miserable and her well being difficult. Finally she moved into a senior citizen's apartment by herself with severely deteriorated health. She died in the apartment later (the exact date was not known.)

(1) Repentance Statement: In this statement the practitioner is forced to admit remorse for practising Falun Gong, promise to give up Falun Gong, and never again associate with other practitioners or go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong.
