The owner of a fitness centre in Adis Ababa, Ethiopia was interested in Falun Gong and wished to learn it. He invited Falun Gong practitioners to give a demonstration of the five-sets of Falun Gong exercises in the fitness centre and to answer any questions.

In addition, practitioners were invited to participate in an annual exhibition by a martial arts school. The activity was held in a well-known concert hall. The Falun Gong exercises were demonstrated and leaflets were distributed to about one thousand people.

On the 13th of May, 2004, local Falun Gong practitioners held a group practice to celebrate the founder of Falun Gong, Master Li's birthday. It was their first group activity. They expressed their appreciation and sincere wishes with a banner.
