Ms. Meng Qingxia was a 40-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Baojia Town, Nongan County, Jilin Province. On January 13, 2000, she was arrested by and detained in Nongan County Detention Centre. She was not released until she was extorted out of 1000 Yuan. On August 3, 2002, the police officers went to her home to conduct a search. They attempted to arrest her after they found Falun Dafa books, so she had to escape from home. Several months later, Meng Qingxia came back to harvest crops, but was arrested again at about 9:00 p.m. on November 1 by the police. She was sent to Changchun City Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp. During the detention, as she remained firm in her belief, torture made her so weak that she was skin and bones. On November 11, 2003, she was sent back home. She was never able to recover and passed away on April 1, 2004.
