The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors proclaims September 20-26, 2003 as San Mateo County Falun Dafa Week.

Mayor of the City of San Jose, Ron Gonzales, together with the City Council, proclaimed the week of September 21-27, 2003 as Falun Dafa Week in San Jose, and acknowledged the growth of Falun Dafa in San Jose and throughout the world as people take greater responsibility for their health and well-being.

Mayor of the City of Gilroy, Tom Springer, on behalf of the entire City Council declared the week of September 21-27, 2003 as Falun Dafa Week in the City of Gilroy, California, and encouraged citizens of Gilroy to be aware of this ancient Chinese practice and it's benefits, and encouraged Falun Gong practitioners in their efforts in obtaining the rights to peacefully assemble to express their belief in Gilroy and around the world.

Mayor Victor P. Lopez and the City Council Members of the City of Orange Cove acknowledge the culturally significant celebration of California Falun Dafa Month. Mayor Lopez encourages all Californians to join him in celebrating the California Falun Dafa Month.

Your hard work in organizing the Falun Dafa Week of Celebration. Your years of outstanding service and dedication to the Central Valley deserve the highest recognition and honor from the California State Legislature. You are a prized organization and a source of pride to your community. Congratulations and I wish you continued success in all of your future endeavors.

Whereas, Falun Dafa is an ancient Chinese practice for mind and body made public by Master Li Hongzhi in 1992; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa is based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa involves meditation and slow gentle movements which can improve health, reduce stress and increase energy; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa is practiced worldwide by people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds, including several cities in San Mateo County; and

Now, Therefore, I, Larry Franzella, Mayor of the City of San Bruno, extend our congratulations to practitioners of Falun Dafa.
