On the evening of the 12th of July 2003, Swedish Dafa practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese consulate in Gothenburg. In the darkness, the candlelight reflected the determined faces of Dafa practitioners who have focused their minds on completely eliminating the evil and putting an end to the persecution. Cars that passed by slowed down to look at the practitioners. Some drivers, who already understood the facts and were familiar with the peaceful appeals, blew their car horns or gave a thumbs up sign to express their support.
