Austria: Revealing the Truth about the Persecution through Music and Poetry

On 18 June, Falun Gong practitioners in Austria held an evening of musical performances to tell people about both the benefits of Falun Dafa, and the horrors of the brutal and illegal persecution in China. The night opened with an introduction outlining the theme of the activity. The whole show lasted for about one and half hours. One practitioner’s friend, who does not practise Falun Gong, performed two pieces of Classic music on a traditional Chinese instrument. Between music performances and poetry reading, the audience listened to the story of Dai Zhizhen, a Chinese Falun Gong practitioner with Australian citizenship, who lost a husband and a father due to the Jiang regime’s persecution. Practitioners told people about the arrest of U.S. citizen Charles Li, for being a Falun Gong practitioner. The audience was also told about “Yellow Express”, a group who aim to use their music to tell people about the persecution. The audience was deeply moved by the sincerity of the artists and their important theme. After the show, the practitioners had further discussions with the audience members.
