The Oxford Mail Puts the Lord Mayor's Parade on the Front Page

On the 27th of May, the front page of the Oxford Mail, a newspaper in the UK, displayed a photo of a young Falun Gong practitioner who was part of a group of practitioners at the Oxford Lord Mayor’s Parade. In addition to the photo on the front page, a report praised Falun Gong and commented on practitioners’ appearance at the Lord Mayor’s Parade.

The annual Oxford Lord Mayor’s Day ceremony was held on May 26th in Oxford city centre. Falun Gong was the only Oriental group to be invited to attend the citywide parade and to demonstrate a traditional Chinese dance, as well as demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises. After the parade, the committee awarded the Falun Gong group as the most colourful display. The Mayor of Oxford presented the award personally.
