France: European Practitioners in Strasbourg Call on the Council of Europe for Help to Stop the Persecution

During the Committee of Ministers Session of the Council of Europe, Falun Dafa practitioners from France, Switzerland and Germany went to Strasbourg in France to appeal to the Foreign Ministers of different European countries. Practitioners hoped to call on the committee, which lists "Defending human rights" among its primary objectives, to publicly acknowledge and help stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Practitioners arrived in Strasbourg at 10 am on May 15th 2003. They put up banners in both German and English reading “Falun Dafa is good” and revealing the ruthless persecution encountered by practitioners in China. Practitioners practised the Falun Gong exercises, sent forth righteous thoughts and distributed flyers to passers-by. The activities concluded at 6 pm and the atmosphere was serene and harmonious. More than 2000 flyers were handed out.

A few days earlier, some practitioners had visited representatives from 15 European countries in Strasbourg. They delivered a copy of some documents on the genocide lawsuit filed against Jiang Zemin. They also requested help in rescuing Ms. Xiong Wei, a student from Berlin Technical University, who is currently illegally imprisoned in China.
