Radio Free Asia: Jiang Brings Troubles Wherever He Goes. A Report on the Lawsuit Against Violations of Human Rights by German Police during Jiangs Visit to Germany In the past few years, Jiang Zemin, the ex-President of China, and several senior Chinese officials have become the subject of a large number of direct and indirect international lawsuits. On April 14 2003, the US District Court of Illinois began the legal procedures for a genocide lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. This lawsuit was filed by Falun Gong practitioners. The following is an extract from a report by on this subject by Tian Yi, special correspondent for Radio Free Asia:
During Jiangs visit to Germany in 1995, and a trip to England in 1999, human rights groups such as Amnesty International brought similar lawsuits against Jiang and won. During Jiangs visit to Iceland last year, the media showed strong discontent and criticism for the Icelandic government [due to their attempt to prevent Falun Gong practitioners from entering the country]. In conclusion, the media said that tyranny not only brought uncertainty and unrest to ones own country but also to the whole world.
