During the end of last year, I was still in my original work unit. At that time, the management pressured me, threatened me and even slandered me. The management suggested that I leave my job or it would be hard for me to continue to work. The reason was simply that I practise Falun Gong and I no longer wore the cross of the Orthodox Church. Though it was said to be a suggestion, it was actually a decision. I had no choice as I could not possibly believe in two things at the same time.

At the end of February this year, a press conference to clarify the truth was held in Moscow,appealing for an end to the persecution of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners. Those who attended (the press conference) included representatives of a human rights organization, Amnesty International, and Mr. S. A. Kovaliov, a parliamentarian of Duma in Russia. The reporters took a close-up shot of me when we were demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises. The next day, an article entitled “The Opponent of China’s Communist Party” was published in the newspaper “Today”, together with the close-up shot of me.

Several days afterwards, the security department in my work unit made a decision to have me dismissed from my job for the reason that the biggest buyer of the products in my work unit was a large Chinese government-run department. According to what they said, as Falun Gong is prohibited in China, whoever practises Falun Gong in the work unit might bring trouble to their cooperation with the Chinese company.
When talking with me, they asked me one question, “Was it you that was featured in the newspaper?” I certainly told them the truth. From my point of view, saying “no” is just like not practising cultivation any more. I explained to the management that Falun Dafa is a very good practice .”
They gave me a deadline; to find another job by the end of April. I found a job in another department in the same work unit. Just when I was about to leave, I was suddenly assigned an urgent assignment which the deadline had almost passed. If the task was not completed in time, the bonuses for employees in the whole work unit would not be granted. The task was to be completed after a couple of days and handed in to our management in our work unit. I knew that it all depended on me, so my job was temporarily secure again.

As a result, this event changed the problem I faced at work. My supervisor reported to the management in our department that they needed me very much and the decision to have me dismissed was consequently overruled.
As a Falun Dafa practitioner, I can feel that the environment of my work unit changed when I did things based on Dafa, when I continuously clarified the facts about Falun Dafa, when I completed my work calmly and tolerantly despite the unfair assignment with such a deadline, and when I did it without thinking of personal gains and losses.

Master Li once said “It is the evil that is afraid of people knowing the truth of the situation, not Dafa disciples.”(A Suggestion)

I also would like to say something about the realization of some fellow practitioners in Moscow.

We have an unspoken agreement that we exchange opinions and try hard to understand, based on the Fa, everything that happens during the regular veteran practitioners’ Fa-study group every Monday.

Due to the Chinese Consulate’s pressure on those Chinese fellow practitioners in Moscow, one practitioner was told not to continue to stay in her rented room in the Chinese business building because she distributed Falun Gong flyers and truth materials about Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China. Hence, we decided to distribute truth materials in Chinese to those Chinese people living in Russia. At the same time, we also held a series of classes introducing Dafa and we also participated in activities such as health exhibitions, etc.

I’d like to mention that fellow practitioners in Saint Petersburg also provided their support in all of these activities. As a result, the environment changed, and so did that practitioner’s problemof accommodation. She has been able to continue to stay in the same place.
With a firm belief in Dafa and a pure, peaceful heart, and through promoting Dafa and clarifying the truth to the public in a tolerant way, we can change our environments and solve problems at a fundamental level.
