Wandered many places of grand design,
Whispered many secrets hard to find.
Discovered many faces felt I knew,
Only to wander back towards what is true.
Looked for many answers across the sea,
Searched for much love and sympathy.
Wished for many fancy dreams to be,
Only to find that the greatest wish was in me.
Wanted what I could never quite have,
Hoped for simple comfort and peace of mind.
Dreamed so many things that were lies,
But only had to look inside to truly realise.
Nothing comes from wanting to gain,
Happiness knows no sweetness without pain.
After walking many roads alone,
Finally found the simplest way is to go back home. |
