Israel: Residents of Tel Aviv Show Their Support for Practitioners

On 7 February 2003, Israel Falun Dafa practitioners went onto the streets of Tel Aviv to let more people know about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Many Tel Aviv residents stopped at the stand that practitioners had set up and were shocked to learn about the persecution.

Practitioners hung large Falun Dafa banners on a street corner where they demonstrated the exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts [using upright thoughts to purify oneself and surroundings]. Some practitioners sat next to the stand and handed out leaflets and other materials about the persecution in China to passers-by. Many residents requested to sign a petition that the Israeli practitioners had prepared to stop Jiang's persecution of and to free Xiong Wei (the sister of an Israeli citizen) who was arrested in China for handing out Falun Dafa flyers in public. Xiong Wei has been jailed for more than a year.

Many others asked about the practice site, and wanted to learn immediately. Other asked where could they get a copy of Zhuan Falun [the main text of Falun Gong].

Tel Aviv residents have been invited to learn the practice at the free classes which are held every Friday.
