On January 30 2003, there were colourful balloons flying in the wind and there was joy in the Central Plaza outside the City Hall Building in Lerum, located in western Sweden. A member of the Swedish Parliament joined a member of the Citizens Health Committee, and the Chief of the City Youth Activity Committee, Mr. Bengt Hörnlund, announced January 30 as the Falun Dafa Day in Lerum and read out in public the citation for the award to Falun Dafa. He also attended the ribbon-cutting opening ceremony for Falun Dafa Day.
