Female Dafa Practitioner Tragically Dies from Torture at the Ping'antai Labour Camp in Gansu Province On November 29, 2002, Ms. Hou, a Dafa practitioner in her 40s, was tortured to death at the Ping'antai Labour Camp in Gansu Province. Insiders said that her ribs and pelvis were severely fractured; her internal organs were badly injured, and there was haemorrhaging inside her body. Shortly after her death, the police sent her body to be cremated. This is a clear example of Jiang's order to cremate practitioners locally to destroy any evidence of persecution. Since the police are blocking the news tightly, the details of her death are not known yet. It is said that in order to prevent the news from leaking, the labour camp has transferred some policemen involved in the death of Ms. Hou to different work units.
