Poland: Peaceful Appeal in Front of Chinese Embassy in Warsaw Polish practitioners took part in a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese embassy in Warsaw, on International Human Rights Day. Human Rights NGOs Amnesty International and Friends of Tibet also took part. The Polish practitioners wanted to tell the people of Warsaw about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners that is occurring in China at the moment. They also hoped that their presence outside of the Chinese Embassy would show the Embassy staff that Falun Gong is practised in over 60 countries around the world and that practitioners are good and peaceful people. ![]() ![]() The activity was a success, and reporters from PAP [a Polish Press Agency] and Gazeta Wyborcza, Poland's largest newspaper, covered the event. The reporters were very interested in what we had to say and commented that they would like to do a feature article about Falun Dafa. One also expressed an interest in learning the exercises. The next day, an article appeared in Gazeta Wyborcza. Here is an excerpt:
The appealers handed out copies of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the anniversary of its inculcation falling yesterday. Friends of Tibet, supporters of Falun Gong (a traditional chinese self-cultivation practice) and Amnesty International protested against violations of fundamental human rights in China."
