Radio Free Asia Interviews French Falun Gong practitioners French government is more and more concerned about Chinas persecution of Falun Gong More and more people from all walks of life in Europe have become concerned with the Chinese governments persecution of Falun Gong. The following is concerning the reaction of the French government and parliament to the crackdown. In European countries, not only have human right groups and religious organizations unceasingly called on the Chinese government to stop cracking down on Falun Gong and to urge it to respect human rights, but more and more media, political parties, government leaders and parliament members have also understood the truth of the issue. At noon on the 12 November, Mr. Jian-ping Zhang, who lives in Paris, told us about the recent reaction of some members of the French Government and parliament [to the persecution of Falun Gong]. After more than three years suppression, the French government and the general public have become more aware that Falun Gong is for people to cultivate their minds towards compassion. They have also rendered more and more support to Falun Gong, after they realise the cruelty of Chinas persecution. For instance in the past month, the French presidential office, a Spokesperson for the French Parliament, the Foreign Minister, the Secretariat Office, the advisor to Foreign Minister, the Minister of French Ministry of Land Reform, and some parliament members have written to the French Falun Gong Association [..] to express their grave concern about Chinas suppression of Falun Gong and in particular the cruel torture to Falun Gong followers. He took another example to illustrate this matter: Not long ago, French former Cultural Minister and the Minister of Education [..] and a member of European Parliament [..] met with Zhao Ming, a Falun Gong practitioner who was recently released from a Chinese labour camp because of international pressure [..]. During the course of their meeting, the Minister said he would try to mobilize more people to support Falun Gong. The member of the European Parliament said that his ancestors had also been persecuted due to religious reasons [Falun Gong is not a religion], and that he was more than willing to support Falun Gong because he truly realizes what would happen to those who are persecuted unreasonably because of their faith. [..] From the dispatch of Mr. Yi Tian, a correspondence of Free Asia Radio Stations in Germany.
