Please help to rescue my friend, Mr Zhiwun Wang With this letter I would like to stretch a helping hand to rescue my friend, Mr. Zhiwun Wang. He is 50 years old, a government official and dear father of Danielle Wang (a student at the University of Texas in Austin). Like the Wang family, I too had the opportunity to get in touch with Falun Gong. In 1995 I attended a Falun Gong class held by Mr Li Hongzhi in Sweden. I learned to follow the principles of Truthfulness - Compassion - Tolerance. Since then, my life got a new start and I have experienced seven fruitful years. My first meeting with local Chinese practitioner was in Christmas 1995, when I travelled to Beijing with a small group of Swedish practitioners. I have many memories and stories from that year. We had a great time together learning a lot from each other. Today when I look in my photo album I can see photos of us practising together with Chinese practitioners in parks in Beijing and everyone was happy and relaxed. When the crackdown on Falun Gong began Mr. Wang was one of four volunteer contact persons of the Beijing Falun Dafa Association. He was arrested and unjustly sentenced to a 16-year prison term. I still remember his kind face that glowed with health and enthusiasm. He is a good man and father. Out of compassion, he volunteered to help other people obtain good health and improve their moral by practising Falun Gong. With these few sincere words I wish to convey a message that Mr Zhiwun Wang should not be punished for being a good man. Please help to rescue him and other Falun Gong practitioners who are now, been illegally imprisoned, detained sent to mental hospitals and labour camps in different parts of China. Thank you,

Zhiwen Wang, male, 50, government official—father of Xiaodan Danielle Wang (a student at the University of Texas in Austin). Mr. Wang was one of four volunteer contact persons of the Beijing Falun Dafa Association to be sentenced to a 16-year prison term. The little news that filters out of the PRC to Danielle and her family is vague and disconnected, and letters are not allowed through either way. They heard that he has been forced to sit on a small bench for seven straight days without food, water, or rest. He has been tortured to try to make him renounce his belief in Falun Gong, but he has consistently refused to succumb.
