Ms Chen went back to China to visit her family in July 2002. He was beaten up in the underground passage at Tiananmen Square, Beijing. Then she was taken to a secret place and illegally detained for a month, during the period of time she was physically and mentally tormented.

Case 1-10: Couple in France Denied Passports Renewal

Description:

Mr Li Sheng and Ms Donghong Zhong’s passports expired, they went to the Chinese embassy in France to have them renewed in July 2001, but were refused by Mr Guoxing Cao, officer of Chinese embassy, because they are both Falun Gong practitioners.
