Wisconsin: State Assembly Applauds Falun Dafa and Declares Falun Dafa Day Walk to Celebrate Falun Dafa Day On Sunday September 15, Wisconsin Falun Dafa Day, practitioners, family members and friends participated in a two-mile human rights walk, displaying banners and wreaths of practitioners who have died as a result of the persecution. Afterwards, practitioners demonstrated the exercises, while people who passed by watched with interest. The State of Wisconsin Citation by the Assemble Know you by these presents: WHEREAS, Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) is a traditional Chinese Qigong practice founded by Mr. Li Hongzhi in 1992, based on the universal principles of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance), promoting the self-improvement of one's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being; and WHEREAS, Falun Dafa consists of five gentle exercises and a meditation that have proven to have wonderful physical and mental health benefits; and WHEREAS, Falun Dafa is designed to help people cleans their mind, uplift their moral standards, rid bad habits, preserve precious human traditions such as honesty, courtesy, loyalty and unselfishness; and WHEREAS, Falun Dafa is practiced by 100 million people in forty countries worldwide and Falun Dafa's contribution to the society has been widely recognized and honoured around the world; and WHEREAS, the practitioners of Falun Dafa have remained true to the teaching of Mr. Li Hongzhi and demonstrated great compassion and tolerance; and WHEREAS, Falun Dafa's contribution to humanity has been widely recognized and honoured throughout the United States; now, therefore, Representative David Cullen, on behalf of the Wisconsin State Assembly, under Assembly Rule 97, dose hereby applaud the self-improvement and non-violent practice of Falun Dafa and declares September 15, 2002 as Falun Dafa Day.
